DHAKA : Urging BNP to take preparation for the next general election, Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim today categorically said the polls will be held in line with the country’s
constitution.

“Next election will be held as per the constitution . . . The quarter who doesn’t abide by the constitution has no right to do politics on the holy soil of Bangladesh,” he said while speaking at the national convention of Bangladesh Deshiya Chikitshak Samity (BDCS) at Engineers Institution
auditorium here.

Nasim, also Awami League Presidium Member, said the next parliamentary election slated for 2019 will he be held under the incumbent government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the country must run according to existing constitution.

The people who don’t believe in the constitution have no right to do politics here and they aren’t also the citizens of Bangladesh.” The minister said the Election Commission will ensure a free, fair and impartial poll as a referee and “We will accept the polls results what it would be.”

Nasim also advised BNP to quit politics if they (BNP leaders) have less faith in mass people. Samity President Dr. M Mizanur Rahman chaired the programme.
