Obaydul Islam Robi Rajshahi:  A 7 days Fish week observed in Rajshahi. The fish department call upon the press conference. And its part of the fish week. There are  26 thousand and 88 metric tons  fish has produced each year to more In Rajshahi but the fish production is 80 thousand 281 metric tons in  a year. On the contrary there is a demand of 53 thousand 993 metric tons. This information was given at a press conference organized by the district fisheries office on the occasion of National Fisheries Week.

The press conference was held at the conference room of Rajshahi deputy commissioner at around 11pm on Tuesday.  Presided over the press conference, Rajshahi Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Pervez Raihan.  Among others, Rajshahi, Assistant Director of Fisheries Department director Jahangir Alam, Deputy Project Director Rezaul Islam, Rajshahi District Fisheries Officer Subhash Chandra Saha, Paba Upazila Fisheries Officer Abul Kalam Azad, Rajshahi matsyabija production floor manager Abdul Khaleq.

The press conference was informed that, in Rajshahi district, 41 thousand 876 ponds and tanks (7 thousand 294 hectares), commercial farm of 6 108 (3 thousand 462 hectares), Baropit 242  (367 decimal 68 hectares), 1 the river 9 thousand 160 percent of 47 hectares 66 channels (64 decimal 278 hectares), 73 bills (7, 71 thousand hectares) and 84 floodplain (11 thousand 145 hectares) of land are cultivated fish. Also at the press conference in Dhaka Fisheries office activities, achievements, prospects and problems are highlighted.
